application deadline for consideration in the Fall trimester is Friday, September 13!

The goal of the WFA Regional Team is to enhance and facilitate competition at the local (greater Seattle area) and regional (outside the greater Seattle area) tournaments.  To do so, we have designed this program to mimic the Select/Premier programs in other sports. The goal is to provide access to the best training and coaching so students may realize their full fencing potential and distinguish themselves as the best of the WFA, while helping to guide parents through the often-complicated process of competition. Tournaments will generally be at the RYC/RJCC level, but there will be a few non-point level local tournaments as well. This will help ensure our team members have the opportunity to receive regional points necessary to move to become eligible for higher-level competitions, such as the Junior Olympics, NACs, and Nationals/July Challenge.

If you or your student is passionate about competing, wants to focus their training on competition, and is excited to represent the WFA, then consider joining the WFA Regional Team! Talk to your coach to determine if you are ready to be a part of this wonderful experience!
